CATAPULT is a non-profit government agency founded by "Innovate UK", It aims to transform the UK’s ability to innovate in specific areas and help promote future economic growth.

The National Offshore Renewable Energy Promotion Center ("ORE Catapult" for short), as Catapult's offshore renewable energy department, is a renewable energy research and development institution integrating research and development platforms, utility companies, developers, manufacturers and investors. As an independent and trustworthy organization, with its unique integration of world-leading testing and verification facilities and technical research expertise, it has become the preferred testing and verification center for large equipment manufacturers, accelerating technology development, reducing research and development risks and costs, and helping British economic growth.
